Move N' Groove classes are open to ages 0-5! All activities are adaptable and scaleable to different developmental levels. For example if we are playing xylophones: the younger babes are just working on cause-and-effect with motor skills and hitting the xylophone, whereas the older kids might be identifying and hitting certain colored bars on the xylophone. If you are booking a birthday party then all ages are welcome for that as well. A majority of babies who attend class are between 6 months and 3 years typically.

While you are not required to participate at our Move N' Groove classes, it is HIGHLY recommended. Your child will benefit GREATLY from hearing your singing, interacting with you, and it is always helpful to have adults around with little ones. If music or singing or dancing isn't your thing, don't worry! We are a judgement-free space, so please don't be nervous! 

Nope! Just bring yourself and your little one! All instruments, songs, MP3s, puppets, stuffed animals, and activities will be provided by Move N' Groove NOVA.

For babies who get over-stimulated or hyper-excited, you are more than welcome to take a "step back" and observe the class from a distance. Some kids may need a break in the middle of an activity to regulate themselves - and that is totally fine! We acknowledge that every baby is different and develops at their own pace. 

Our goal at Move N' Groove is to give you the tools to continue music-learning at home. If you want to sing or play the songs from class at home, we can give you a link to our playlist! As far as instruments and activities, if you like a certain instrument or want to purchase one for yourself you can always talk to us after class to see where we got it! You can also check out the "class materials" page for a list of some of the favorite items kiddos love.

Depending on class location, spots may be full already. Once spaces are full, we can not accept any more babies or caregivers. If you already have a group of friends or a playgroup who would like to participate in a class, you can book Move N' Groove for a private event! Visit our Pricing page for more info.

Our goal at Move N' Groove is to give expose children to a variety of music. Depending on the musical concept for that week, we may or may not incorporate music from other cultures. Certain aspects of music and certain instruments truly lend themselves to cultural music (ex: djembe or maracas). However we can not guarantee that each class will expose children to multiple cultures due to time constraints.
